Linfield students join millions in doing good

Last month 120 Linfield students, along with staff volunteers, joined 3 million people across the country to participate in Make a Difference Day, a national day of doing good.Linfield students volunteered at 15 different community organizations.

Here are some of the ways that Linfield volunteers made a difference:

Sorted 1,800 books for Yamhill County Commission on Children and Families Reading for All program.

Collected 401 pounds of food for the YCAP Regional Food bank, which provided 308 meals.

Repacked 1,000 pounds of oats and 1,608 poundss of dried pinto beans at YCAP, which will feed nearly 1,000 families this fall.

Assembled one swing set for Henderson House.

Five thousand community members’ lives have been directly affected by Linfield volunteers.
