Recent graduate Marci Klimek ’10 was the women’s winner of the Portland Marathon, a 26.2-mile race through downtown Portland.
The standout distance runner posted a time of 2 hours, 46 minutes 27 seconds. She placed 21st overall out of 7,397 competitors and won the women’s division by more than a minute.
As a Linfield track & field athlete, Klimek set school records in the 5,000- and 10,000-meter races and was a conference cross country champion as a senior. She earned NCAA All-America honors in cross country and was the 2010 West Region Athlete of the Year in track.
