Head baseball Coach Scott Brosius led the USA team to victory in the Pan-American championships in Colombia.
Brosius was a part of three New York Yankees World Series championship teams as a major league baseball player, and he was the MVP of the 1998 series.
Since taking over as the Linfield College coach, Brosius has compiled a 133-49 record and won three Northwest Conference titles.
The American team, which he coached, recently defeated Canada 12-2 in the gold medal game, completing an undefeated run in which they outscored their opponents 88-8.
