Students in Professor Rob Gardner’s class have taken sustainability online, creating a blog that educates readers about social, economic and environmental issues related to sustainability.
New posts by Linfield students and community members are added daily. Comments are welcome, say students in the environmental sociology course.
The goal of participating bloggers is to educate the campus and community about the challenges facing our planet, and to promote ways we can all make a difference.
Students have written about global challenges, and ideas in environmental sociology and sustainability studies. They touch on sustainability projects at Linfield, and issues and events in Yamhill County. And they write about people who are making a difference, and daily practices that can help green up our homes and lives.
The site was officially launched in honor of Earth Day 2012. All Linfield community members are encouraged to participate in discussions, submit ideas or even write for the site. To learn more, contact Professor Gardner at rgardne@linfield.edu.
