Linfield College student Alex Lazar ’13 will serve on the student advisory board of the Oregon Campus Compact, where he will help inspire civic engagement among college students across the state.
His selection was based on his commitment to community service.
The Oregon Campus Compact is motivated by the belief that students have the power to change the world through participation in civic life. Currently, college students exceed the volunteer rate of the adult population and more than 70 percent participate in civic engagement activities.
