Newspapers across the country featured comments from Professor Patrick Cottrell about politics, money and protest at the Olympic Games.
Cottrell was featured on CBS MoneyWatch and in the Sacramento Bee, Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, International Business Times, San Francisco Chronicle and many other news outlets.
Cottrell’s teaching and research interests include international law and institutions, U.S. foreign policy, foreign policy, and international security and arms control. His publications have also analyzed the political power of the International Olympic Committee. Cottrell is currently writing a book about crisis and change in global security institutions.
Cottrell’s course about the Vietnam War was featured in a 2011 front-page story in The Oregonian. He teaches in the Department of Political Science.
