In early January, 90 Linfield students headed around the world to explore other cultures as part of Linfield’s popular January Term.
They’ll study subjects as diverse as health in Costa Rica, New Zealand and Southeast Asia; theatre and oratory in Italy and Greece; and the art of mathematics in China and Japan.
January Term is only one of several ways students can study abroad at Linfield, which pays the round trip air fare from Portland International Airport to the destination of the student’s first study abroad experience.
Linfield College ranks in the top 40 baccalaureate institutions in the nation for study abroad participation. Half of all graduates study outside the U.S.
This year’s students are studying in Costa Rica, Italy, France, Greece, China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand.
