Linfield alumnus and philanthropist Seth Prickett ’05 builds schools in Africa when he’s not running a pub with a unique civic bent. Portlandia recently filmed at his trendy North Portland bar.
The Waypost, which Prickett co-owns with founder Michael Newman, is home to legislator get-togethers, historical lectures and classical piano concerts, and has become increasingly hip. So hip that the quirky TV show Portlandia filmed a recent scene there.
At age 22, Prickett began building schools in Ghana, eventually creating the nonprofit Framework International, which raises $30,000 a year for construction.
