The Linfield College Lively Arts music series is partnering with Friends of Chamber Music, a Portland chamber music series, to enrich the concert life at Linfield. Two FOCM visiting ensembles including Pacifica Quartet and Trio con Brio Copenhagen will offer concerts in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium at Linfield this season.

Friends of Chamber Music, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to presenting the highest quality chamber ensembles in concert, and providing educational outreach to further chamber music in the community. It is the longest non-interrupted chamber music series in Oregon and the sixth longest running in the country.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the Linfield community to hear and meet outstanding musicians from the chamber music world,” said Faun Tiedge, chair of the Linfield music department. “The new partnership with FOCM offers us the possibility to share in a roster of guest chamber music groups touring in Portland.”

The Linfield Lively Arts music series will present three concerts in 2013-14. Tickets are $10, available at the door.
