Yamhill County fourth graders were treated to a performance – and a musical overview — by the Linfield College concert band.

Under the direction of Joan Haaland Paddock, professor of music and director of instrumental activities, the band interspersed movie music including the “Star Wars” theme and the Mickey Mouse march with classical pieces. Between songs, band members demonstrated various instruments, and the fourth graders learned how each instrument is unique and the importance of music.
The concert was sponsored by the Yamhill Enrichment Society.
