Linfield College students have much to be thankful for. Each year at Thanksgiving, students on the Portland Campus make a list of things they appreciate. Here’s what they said.
- I am thankful to have the privilege of being able to go to college to earn an education and pursue my dream of being a nurse! Not to mention I am thankful to be surrounded by a supportive group of individuals who are doing the same.
- I am thankful for the nursing staff members who work incredibly hard to give us all amazing opportunities.
- I am thankful for Linfield Nursing! This is a small, yet powerful college indeed. I love the neighborhood, the awesome staff and faculty.
- I am thankful for this opportunity to experience such an amazing holistic nursing curriculum that emphasizes the importance of evidence-based practice in a constantly changing healthcare system. I am happy Linfield chose me!
- I am thankful for my roommate! Through every challenge, we always find a reason to smile. I couldn’t imagine this experience without this person.
- I am thankful for learning, for growth, and for inspiration.
- I am thankful for a fantastic staff member who helped me get two PERFECT senior practicum sites!
- I am thankful for a faculty member who took time to thoroughly read and suggest changes for my paper. It was not a good paper initially and the direction she provided helped me write a much better paper and learn so much more about the healthcare system than I had anticipated. This ended up being one of the most valuable writing assignments throughout college. Thank you for your encouragement.
- I am thankful for my nursing student buddies who are there to struggle with and share encouragement. Couldn’t get through the pressures of school without them!
- I am thankful for the amazing people I am surrounded by at Linfield each day, the friendships and bonds we have formed, and for the wonderful staff who embrace us and encourage us every day!
- I am thankful for the amazing instructors, students and staff that I constantly encounter at this school. I have been so blessed to get to know everyone each semester and have new experiences that I will never forget.
