A group of 92 new students kicked off their Linfield College experiences a week early by taking part in one of four pre-orientation programs this week.
See a photo slideshow. Students arrived on campus ready to explore research, community service and sustainability. All four programs gave students the opportunity to work with Linfield College faculty and student mentors, connect with fellow participants and settle into campus life before classes begin.
The programs include First CLAS, a service-learning and leadership program; iFOCUS, an interdisciplinary science hands-on laboratory and field experience; the SOIL Project, which taught students what it means to live sustainably at Linfield and in the McMinnville community; and AHA, an Arts and Humanities in Action immersion lab.
Orientation for new students continues through the weekend at Linfield. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 31.
