CONVERSATION PROJECT: Linfield will host an Oregon Humanities Conversation Project, “Northwest Mixtape: Hip Hop Culture and Influences,” led by journalist and author Donnell Alexander on Monday, April 4, at 4:30 p.m. in 219 T.J. Day Hall at Linfield College. The Oregon Humanities Conversation Project brings Oregonians together to discuss their differences, beliefs and backgrounds about important issues and ideas. CHOIR CLINIC: The Linfield College Concert Choir will host the sixth annual Choir Clinic for Yamhill County elementary and middle school students, grades 3-8, Friday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Vivian A. Bull Music Center at Linfield. A public concert for students to showcase what they have learned will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall. Clinic fee is $25, $15 if regular fee poses a financial burden, and includes lunch and snacks. Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 5. HAWAIIAN LU’AU: Linfield College will host the 44th annual lu’au celebration, “Gift of Aloha,” on Saturday, April 30, in the Rutschman Field House and Ted Wilson Gymnasium at Linfield. A Hawaiian dinner at 5 p.m. will be followed by a live performance at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets for the performance are $15. Tickets for both the show and dinner are $25 for general admission and $28 for reserved seats. Student and senior (60+) tickets are $18 for general admission and $20 for reserved seats, and require I.D. Children’s tickets are $10 for general admission and $13 for reserved seats.
