The Linfield College Department of Music will host a fall chamber music concert on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m. in the Delkin Recital Hall in the Vivian A. Bull Music Center.
The concert will feature the woodwind quintet, brass quartet, cello ensemble and piano duos. Pianists, led by Professor Albert Kim, will perform music of Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky and Maurice Ravel, arranged for piano by contemporaries of these composers.
The cello ensemble, coached by Diane Chaplin, will perform music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Béla Bartok and also music composed for the Apocalyptica Cello Ensemble.
The woodwind quintet, led by Professor Joan Paddock, will perform music of the romantic era by lesser-known composers Blas Maria Colomer and Charles Lafebvre. The brass quintet, also coached by Paddock, will perform music of Wilhelm Ramsöe and Giovanni Gabrieli.
