Linfield College will host a spring band concert Tuesday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall at Linfield.
Selections of the program will include original band music from Italy, England, Korea and America, such as “Inglesina” (an Italian concert march) by Davide Delle Cese; “English Folk Song Suite” by Ralph Vaughan Williams; “Divertimento for Band” by Vincent Persichetti; and “Variations on a Korean Folk Song” by John Barnes Chance.
The Linfield Concert Band is comprised of over 30 members including music majors and minors and non-majors from across all disciplines, as well as local community members. The band is conducted by Keith Weathers, longtime conductor with Salem Concert Band.
