Linfield offers virtual visit sessions for Oregon Private College WeekLinfield joins nine other institutions in the Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities for a virtual Oregon Private College Week (OPCW) held Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, 2020. Registration is currently open online at OPCW.

“Linfield is pleased to once again participate in Oregon Private College Week,” said Lisa Knodle-Braigel, director of admissions at Linfield University. “This is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to learn about all the benefits of our Oregon independent four-year university. While it will be a different platform this year, we expect it to be no less exciting and productive.”

Over the five-day span, Linfield will host three, 80-minute virtual visit sessions with information about admissions, financial aid and academic programs. The presentations are geared toward prospective students and their families, high school teachers and staff members, access program professionals, independent higher education counselors, and interested community members.

Linfield’s sessions are:

  • Monday, July 27 at 8:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 29 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m.

During OPCW, attendees will learn about how Oregon’s private colleges and universities are adjusting their admissions processes in response to COVID-19 and the benefits of Oregon private higher education.

Additional information and college search resources are available at Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities.

Linfield is an independent, non-profit university with campuses in McMinnville and Portland, Oregon. Twenty-eight percent of Linfield students are first-generation college students, and more than one-third are U.S. students of color. The U.S. State Department has honored Linfield for being a top producer of Fulbright Scholars three years in a row.
