In order to create the healthiest face-to-face learning environment possible, Linfield University announced in May that all faculty, staff and students should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start of the fall term.
Since that announcement, Linfield officials have worked diligently to create a policy that prioritizes the health and safety of the Linfield community, while allowing the institution to return, as much as possible, to robust in-person learning and activities that reflects its mission. The policy was created in collaboration with the Oregon College Health Association, the Higher Education Coordinating Commission and the Oregon Health Authority.
The university’s new COVID-19 vaccine policy, requirements for compliance and exemptions, and information on how to upload documentation is available at: https://linfield.edu/coronavirus-update/vaccine.html
The page includes information specific to students on Linfield’s McMinnville and Portland campuses, university employees, volunteers and campus-housed vendors.
Students must submit proof of vaccination or an exemption form to the university a minimum of 14 days prior to returning to campus for the fall semester. Employees and volunteers must submit their documentation by Aug. 2, 2021 or at least one week prior to arrival on campus, whichever is first.
Specific vaccine-related FAQs have also been added to the COVID-19 FAQ page.
