Linfield University celebrated Homecoming 2021 with a variety of virtual and on-campus events for students, alumni and other members of the Linfield community. More than 500 people visited Linfield’s McMinnville and Portland campuses or participated in virtual events held Oct. 2-9.
“After last year’s all-virtual homecoming, it was so great to see so many Linfield alumni in person again,” said Joni Claypool ’06, director of constituent engagement. “I believe we are better together, and yesterday was a great day to be together with so many Wildcats.”
This year’s celebration included its first alumni event at the Linfield University Portland Campus on Oct. 2, when School of Nursing alumni met current faculty, reconnected with classmates and toured the new campus.
Activities continued with virtual presentations by the 2021 Alumni Award recipients, who were also honored at Linfield’s Finest on Friday, Oct. 8. This year’s recipients were:
- Ann Klein ’07 – Distinguished Young Alumni Award
- Sean Hoar ’80 – Distinguished Alumni Award
- Ashley Blatchley ’06 – Distinguished Nursing Award
- Craig Ostbo ’15 – Linfield Service Award Recipient
Homecoming also included the return of the Wildcat Entertainment Board’s Drag Show, a wine tasting, the world premiere of three alumni-composed songs by Linfield’s Choir Concert, several Wildcat Athletics events and a variety of reunions.
