Cassandra McKenna, or Cassi for short, joined Linfield University on Sept. 23 as the executive assistant to the vice president for student affairs. In this role, she will provide support to the interim vice president of student affairs and dean of students, Jeff Mackay, and the Office of Student Affairs. She will assist with Orientation and Pre-Orientation events, student policy updates and and a variety of other projects.
McKenna is a 2015 graduate of Corban University, where she earned an interdisciplinary degree in music performance and student and family ministry. She has previously worked in a variety of administrative, receptionist and customer service roles in the private sector.
“I am excited to join the Linfield team and support student affairs,” she said. “Though the higher education field is new to me, I look forward to the challenges it has to offer.”
In her free time, McKenna enjoys participating in community theatre, both at Gallery Theatre in McMinnville and Keizer Homegrown Theatre in Salem/Keizer. She also enjoys playing board and tabletop games with friends, many who are Linfield alumni. She and her husband, Travis ’16, have two malamute mix pups and are settling in to their home in Salem.
