As commencement approaches, Linfield College senior Annika Yates looks back on her transformational experience.

“What is perhaps most extraordinary about my story at Linfield, is that it’s not extraordinary at all,” said Yates, who will earn a European studies (German) and international relations degree during commencement exercises June 1.
During her four years at Linfield, she participated in student government, studied abroad in Vienna, took part in collaborative research and presented her findings at a conference, and led a campaign to reduce the sale of bottled water at Linfield. She spent last summer interning in Washington, D.C.
