Linfield controller and director of financial services represents the university in nine-month national leadership program
Alysia Stevens, Linfield University’s controller and director of financial services, has been selected to participate in the National Association of College and University Business Officers’ 2026–27 Emerging Leaders Program.
NACUBO is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at colleges and universities across the country. Its work includes professional development, advocacy and resources focused on sound financial management in higher education. Stevens becomes the first Linfield employee selected for NACUBO’s nine-month Emerging Leaders Program. The program brings together promising higher education business and finance professionals from institutions across the country.
“Being selected for the Emerging Leaders Program is a tremendous honor, and I am proud to represent Linfield University,” Stevens said. “As a first-generation, nontraditional college graduate and an enrolled member of Ketchikan Indian Community, I am especially grateful for the experiences and people who have shaped my path. I look forward to growing as a leader, learning from colleagues across higher education and bringing valuable ideas and perspectives back to the Linfield community.”
The Emerging Leaders Program combines virtual learning, in-person workshops, small-group collaboration and opportunities for professional reflection. Participants will explore leadership strategies they can apply within their institutions while developing relationships with colleagues throughout higher education.
The 2026–27 program begins with a virtual kickoff in September, followed by an in-person workshop Sept. 16–18 in Chicago. Additional sessions and leadership-development activities will continue throughout the nine-month program.
Stevens joined Linfield in 2024. In her role, she provides leadership for the university’s accounting and financial services operations. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree from Heritage University and an MBA from Lincoln Memorial University. Through the Emerging Leaders Program, she will have the opportunity to expand her leadership skills, learn from peers across higher education and bring new ideas and perspectives back to Linfield.
