Lizzie Martinez ’09 is back at Linfield, but this time she’s serving with Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA).
Martinez heard about the VISTA program a few years ago and signed up after graduation. She now works with Linfield’s Community Engagement and Service office.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to give back to a school that has done so much for me as a student,” she says.
The community service program supports students on their journey toward civic engagement through partnerships with more than 100 community-based organizations.
This fall Martinez will head to Washington, D.C. to begin studies in public administration at American University.
