Starting with the fall 2023 semester, students at Linfield University no longer pay extra for their course materials as part of the First Day Complete program, with Barnes & Noble.
With First Day Complete, ‘shopping’ for course materials just became easier. An online system allows students to pick up your materials in one, handy bag or via online delivery without having to wander the bookstore or shop around on multiple websites.
As part of First Day Complete, students:
- Receive all course materials before the first day of class,
- Benefit from a highly personalized concierge service,
- And, not be charged for these materials.
Students registered for classes in the fall semester started receiving emails with details about confirming their book orders on July 24. More information will be sent on July 31 for students starting on Aug. 28 , and Aug. 14 for students starting courses on Sept. 11.
To verify their order, students will review their course materials online, choosing to ship or pick up their order in person. Students will receive an email notification when their order is ready for pickup or when it ships. Digital materials will be delivered directly into Blackboard.
The Linfield Bookstore will be delivering course materials to the Portland campus for those students who select the Portland campus as their pickup location.
- For classes beginning Aug. 28: The Linfield Bookstore will be on campus from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25. Orders must be confirmed by Monday, Aug. 14.
- For classes beginning Sept. 11: The Linfield Bookstore will be on campus from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7. Orders must be confirmed by Aug. 28.
