Business professor offers insights on Jefferson Exchange

October 30, 2012 by Linfield News Team

By Linfield News Team

Professor Malcolm Greenlees appeared on NPR-affiliate Jefferson Public Radio to share insights about Oregon’s casino gambling initiatives.

Efforts to expand legal gambling in Oregon took a twist recently when backers of two ballot measures that would allow a Portland-area casino suspended their campaign and conceded defeat, but the push for off-reservation casinos continues. Jefferson Exchange interviewed Greenlees about gambling laws and ballot initiatives, as well as tribal plans for a casino in Medford, Ore.

Greenlees is a highly sought-after speaker on the gambling industry. He is the author of Casino Accounting and Financial Management, a comprehensive book about the casino industry, and has provided insights for regional newspapers about Oregon casino measures.
