Linfield College chaplain to head up ministries organization

Linfield College Chaplain David Massey ’78 was recently named board president of one of the most prominent ecumenical organizations in the country.

The Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon appointed Massey president of its board of directors after his service as chair of the organization’s Theological Education and Dialogue Committee. Reverend Massey has been engaged in building connections between faith communities throughout Oregon.

Although primarily Christian, the Chaplain’s Office at Linfield College serves a broad range of faiths. Massey not only provides spiritual counseling at Linfield, but also teaches religious studies.

He received his doctorate from the San Francisco Theological Seminary, where his studies focused on pastoral counseling, specializing in trauma and loss.
