Hermitage Piano Trio will hold a concert on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall on campus.
From the great Russian musical tradition, the Hermitage Piano Trio is distinguished by its exuberant musicality, interpretative range, and sumptuous sound. The group is comprised of violinist Misha Keylin, cellist Sergey Antonov and pianist Ilya Kazantsev.
The ensemble will perform “Trio pathétique in d minor” by Glinka, “Piano Trio in c minor, Op. 101, No. 3” by Brahms and “Piano Trio No. 3 in f minor, Op. 65” by Dvorák.
The Hermitage Piano is comprised of violinist Misha Keylin, cellist Sergey Antonov and pianist Ilya Kazantsev. The group has performed as part of major chamber music events in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. They recently signed a multiple-album recording deal with Reference Recordings and released their debut CD in 2018.
