It was a milestone 100 years in the making at Linfield University’s 2024 Homecoming Weekend — and more than 800 students, alumni, friends and family gathered to celebrate.
Linfield University adopted the Wildcat as its mascot in 1924 — and Mack celebrated in style during the Homecoming football game against Lewis & Clark. While the Pios took an early need, the Wildcats rallied to a 47-14 finish, extending a 46-year winning streak against the NWC rivals.
But there was much more than football — there were more than 30 events held in and around the McMinnville campus on Oct. 11 and 12, including milestone reunions for the classes of 1974, 1994, 2004 and 2014; the alumni baseball game and swim meet, a wine-tasting at the student-run Acorn to Oak Wine Experience in downtown McMinnville and much more.
