KBOO Community Radio features cycling philosophy professor

May 10, 2011 by Linfield News Team

By Linfield News Team

Jesús Ilundáin-Agurruza was a guest on KBOO’s Bike Show this month, sharing insights from his cycling book and offering suggestions for spring bike routes.

Spectacular wine country provides the backdrop for Linfield College, and Ilundáin-Agurruza recommended that listeners explore the back roads.

He also spoke about his book, Cycling—Philosophy for Everyone: A Philosophical Tour de Force, a collection of essays that looks at cycling’s identity crisis, critical mass rides, the environment, ethical issues related to success, women bikers, and bicycling and the simple life.

The Bike Show explores Oregon’s bike culture and other bike transportation issues. Listen to the KBOO interview, or check out the station.
