Fifth-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater wins a battle of unbeaten powerhouse programs, rallying from a 17-point deficit to knock off No. 2 Linfield College Wildcats in the West Region final of the NCAA Division III playoffs at frigid Perkins Stadium.
Final score was 28-17. The Warhawks held the Wildcats to 89 second-half yards and sacked quarterback Josh Yoder seven times during the game’s final two quarters. UWW advances to play Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) Saturday, Dec. 14, in the national semifinals. Kickoff is noon local time.
