The Linfield College Office of Career Development earned two awards during a celebration of the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce’s 100th birthday on Thursday, Nov. 6.
The award ceremony, which took place in the McMinnville Ballroom, was attended by hundreds of local business leaders. Awards were handed out to those who have made a difference in the business community in 2015.
Linfield’s first award was the Business Education award. This award acknowledges the strong relationship the local business community has with the college helping to prepare students to advance their careers through local jobs and internships.
The second award given to Linfield was the Outstanding Partner award, which honors a person or organization for their special contributions and support of McMinnville Economic Development Partnership’s (MEDP) development efforts. The work that Linfield has done in support of this program includes assisting with the McMinnville Works internship program, and hosting the National Manufacturing Day tours with local businesses.
