Linfield Jazz Night to feature instrumentalists, vocals

Linfield musicThe Linfield College Jazz Ensemble will present a Jazz Night concert Friday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall at Linfield.

The performance, under the direction of Steve Kravitz, adjunct professor of music, will include popular big band music and jazz. It will spotlight seniors Izgi Gulfem Torunlar singing and Max Milander playing piano. Songs will include “Attitude Dance,” “Night Train” featuring the trombone section, “Bye Bye Blackbird” featuring the trumpet section and “Take Five.”

This concert is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Linfield College Department of Music. For more information, call 503-883-2275 or visit www.linfield.edu/arts.
