Living with someone from another culture is one of the most valuable aspects of life abroad, according to Ryan Morgan ’17.
Morgan, of Everett, Wash., is an international business major currently studying abroad in Aix, France, at the American University Center of Provance (AUCP) and is staying with a host family and meeting other locals in the community.
“This semester, I wanted to try something new, so I just started visiting Henri, an 87-year old who doesn’t look, nor act, his age,” said Morgan. “He has a ton of energy. With Henri, ‘on rit!’ (we laugh). We talk, eat lunch together or whatever…the idea is really just to spend time with him.”
Morgan was recently featured on the AUCP’s study abroad blog. The blog post, “From a Fraternity to France: Meet AUCP Student Ryan,” is an interview with Morgan as he shares about his experiences abroad.
