Linfield College student nurses participated in the Oregon Nurses Association Nurse Lobby Day at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem.
Students advocated for an improved health care system in Oregon, participated in the legislative process, and gained hands-on practical experience in nurse advocacy.
They also took part in educational sessions on effective advocacy techniques and received briefings on legislative issues currently before Oregon’s State Legislature, and spent a full afternoon at the State Capitol meeting with legislators and their staff.
