Linfield College senior Zach Gulaboff Davis is earning accolades for his musical compositions.
Davis has been invited to compose original works for the Oregon Bach Festival and California Summer Music 2013. In addition, his “Suite for Piano and Viola” won a $900 prize from the National Federation of Music Clubs.
Davis, who is known by Linfield faculty and students as a thoughtful and creative musician, is modest about his skill. As a homeschooled student, Davis was encouraged by his parents to explore many interests, including music. At age 6 he began group piano lessons. After practicing every day, he began to enjoy playing and has since pursued his interest in music at Linfield.
