One man’s trash is another student’s research project, at least according to Linfield freshman Tristan Dahl.
Dahl, who is a member of the Linfield Habitat Club, worked with fellow members to toss away unusable bits that people have donated over the last five years behind the ReStore on Southeast First Street in March, according to a story in the McMinnville News-Register.
Dahl, an anthropology major, viewed this volunteer work more as field work. “We call this trash, but it’s someone’s life story,” said Dahl.
The Linfield Habitat Club is made of up about a dozen Linfield students, all of which who love to give back to their community. “You feel good,” said Dahl. “You get to meet the homeowners. You get to work with other people and work interactively.”
