Led by what would be described in birding terms as a Plaid-Shirted Professor, a flock of fledgling birdwatchers focused their eyes and ears on the trees and sky around Linfield College this spring.
Tom Love, professor of anthropology, led the campus community in weekly bird walks around Storey Park and Cozine Creek on the edge of the Linfield campus.
During the walk, participants searched for birds and learned about each species’ unique sounds, migratory patterns, diet and more. As an anthropologist and ecologist at Linfield, Love is excited to share his passion of ornithology with students.
