Tickets for the Linfield University Theatre Program‘s fall production of “Macbeth” go on sale at noon Wednesday, Oct. 15 online (https://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/linfieldtheatre/6795). The production opens Oct. 30, bringing one of Shakespeare’s most haunting tragedies to the Marshall Theatre stage in Ford Hall.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 1, 6-8, with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, Nov. 9, in the Marshall Theatre at Ford Hall. Directed by Lindsey Mantoan, this fast-paced production blends medieval and modern design to explore ambition, prophecy, and power. With iconic lines like “Double, double, toil and trouble” and “Out, out, damn’d spot,” “Macbeth” reveals how greed and violence can destroy communities and self. Fog, haze and flashing lights create an immersive experience.

Special “Macbeth” events

  • Opening Night Reception — Oct. 30: Celebrate with wine and light refreshments following the performance. Meet the cast, crew and creative team behind the show.
  • Post-show Discussion — Nov. 1: Join director Lindsey Mantoan for “Faeries, Kings and Bloody Hands,” a conversation about the history, folklore and politics of “Macbeth.” Discussion is free with a performance ticket.

Ticket Information

Tickets are $14 for general admission; $12 for seniors (62+) and Linfield employees (limit two per ID); and $10 for students 13+ (limit one per ID). Seating is reserved. Tickets are available online beginning Oct. 15 at noon; the box office opens Oct. 28. Call 503-883-2292 for more information.

“Macbeth” runs approximately 90 minutes and is best suited for audiences ages 13 and older. Children under 7 will not be admitted.
