Maria Sandoval Perez ’11 encourages high school students to aim for college, says a recent News-Register story.
Perez was a workshop presenter at the annual Cesar Chavez Conference for high school students.
“I have a passion for helping students follow their dreams and reach their full potential,” she told the News-Register.
Perez’s volunteer work as a translator at McMinnville High School led to a post-graduate job at the school.
Many Linfield students serve children in local schools through the Community Engagement and Service Office, and the school was named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in recognition of outstanding volunteer leadership.
