Music by Susan McDaniel ’97, principal accompanist for the Linfield College music department, floods the Portland airwaves each Thursday afternoon.
Along with her roles at Linfield as an accompanist and adjunct professor of music, McDaniel is also a soloist, chamber musician and a live performer on All Classical Portland, 89.9 KQAC FM in Portland. She is the resident pianist for the All Classical Portland live performance show, Thursdays @ Three, which broadcasts live concerts that showcase local musicians and visiting artists. You can also see McDaniel play at these live concert broadcasts by reserving seats ahead of time.
McDaniel has performed around the world in locations such as France, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. She received a bachelor’s degree in music from Linfield College in 1997 and a master of music degree from Manhattan School of Music in 2001. McDaniel has been a member of the music staff at Seattle Opera and Portland Opera as well as music director and pianist for the San Diego Opera Ensemble, Off-Center Opera in Seattle and Puget Sound Concert Opera.
