A screening of the film “Miss Representation” will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium at Linfield College. The viewing will be followed by a panel discussion.
The film addresses the relationship between mainstream media and the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence in the U.S.
A panel discussion regarding the issues in the film will be moderated by Reshmi Dutt-Ballerstadt, associate professor of English and co-coordinator of the gender studies program. Panelists will include Nick Buccola, assistant professor of political science; Dawn Nowacki, professor of political science, Jennifer Linder, associate professor of psychology, and Mary Stern, Yamhill County commissioner.
