Linfield continues to climb Money magazine’s rankings of the best value for colleges in the United States.
Recently, Money ranked Linfield 221 out of 705 colleges and universities nationally. Linfield continues to climb these rankings, rising from 293 in 2014 and 237 in 2015.
The ranking places Linfield second among colleges and universities in Oregon for delivering the most value.
Money considers several factors to determine value. First, they screen out colleges with graduation below the median, financial trouble or enrollment less than 500 students. The remaining schools were ranked on 24 items in the categories of educational quality, affordability and alumni success. Finally, they assessed value by comparing how well students did to what is expected from students with similar economic and academic backgrounds.
