This week the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) is featuring Linfield College on its homepage and in a national e-newsletter.
AASHE recognized Linfield for its sustainability initiatives and student involvement.
Students tend a campus garden, help with community food drives and intern at local farms and vineyards. They also established a bike co-op, built a bike shelter with an eco-roof and sponsor conferences focused on reducing the campus carbon footprint. Linfield recently completed the green restoration of a historic library.
AASHE connects schools across the nation, building a platform to share ideas and best practices.
