Aerial view of Maxwell FieldLinfield is the top private college in the state of Oregon when it comes to athletic opportunities and one of the top three in overall value, according to the Niche.com college-search website.

Niche’s 2022 Best Colleges rankings placed Linfield athletics behind only the NCAA Division I programs at the University of Oregon and Oregon State when it came to overall athletic opportunities for students and fans. Nearly 40% of the students on Linfield’s McMinnville campus participate in athletics at some point during their four years, and the school’s football team owns an all-divisions college football record of 64 consecutive winning seasons.

On Niche’s Best Value Colleges in Oregon list, Linfield, University of Portland and Oregon Tech round out the top three universities out of the 20 in its rankings. The organization bases its ranking on net price, alumni earnings, graduation rates and student debt using data from the U.S. Department of Education and millions of reviews. The ranking compares the most affordable colleges with the best return on investment.

More information about Linfield’s regional and national rankings can be found at linfield.edu/rankings.
