The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) awarded Linfield College a $150,000 grant for a new science facility on the McMinnville campus. The grant was recognized during a March 27 event at The Bindery in McMinnville, as part of a celebration of OCF’s support for Yamhill County nonprofits.
The gift is instrumental to the college, as it plans an institutionally transformative 88,000-square-foot science complex, said John McKeegan, vice president for Institutional Advancement at Linfield.
“Linfield is grateful for this gift, which will ultimately foster greater student engagement and empower our faculty to deliver the interdisciplinary, research-oriented science education our students need to become career scientists and medical professionals,” McKeegan said.
