November 28, 2022 by Kathy Foss

By Kathy Foss

The quality and value of Linfield University’s online degrees has been recognized recently in a pair of national rankings.

Intelligent.com, a resource for program rankings and higher education planning, included Linfield on its list of the Best Online Universities and Colleges in Oregon in 2023. Specifically, Linfield was awarded “Best for Bachelor’s Degrees” on the final list. This is the second year in a row that Linfield has been recognized for its commitment to undergraduate education via its eCampus. The ranking evaluates programs based on program strength student readiness, return on investment, cost and student engagement.

In addition, University HQ named multiple specific online programs to its nation- and statewide “best of” lists. University HQ is an independent education organization that provides students with resources to prepare and plan careers.

In the rankings, Linfield was named the No. 27 institution in the nation to earn an online bachelor’s degree. Linfield’s online marketing degree was ranked No. 11 in the U.S. University HQ also named Linfield in the top five colleges and universities in the state of Oregon for online degrees, and specifically online bachelor’s degrees.

“At the Linfield University eCampus, we are constantly working to create a learning environment that is skills-driven, teaching with tools and tech used in the workforce, that is responsive to industry requirements,” said Jennifer R. Madden, dean of the School of Business.

Earlier this year, U.S. News & World Report named Linfield the top private college in Oregon for online education and included Linfield University in its top 100 “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.” The January 2022 ranking marked Linfield’s ninth consecutive year in the magazine’s top 100.

Linfield’s Online and Continuing Education (OCE) program operates on a two-semester and two-term schedule throughout the calendar year. January Term begins Jan. 9, 2023, and spring semester begins Feb. 13, 2023. For more information about Linfield’s OCE program or enrollment deadlines, visit linfield.edu/oce.
