Linfield University will no longer require proof of vaccination or masks for spectators at home outdoor athletic events.
The relaxed policy is a result of declining COVID-19 numbers community-wide and the relatively lower risk of spreading the virus in outdoor settings. The relaxed policy falls in line with the current outdoor sports spectator policies of many institutions within the Northwest Conference and within the State of Oregon.
Masks and proof of vaccination are still required for indoor Wildcat athletic events. This includes basketball and indoor tennis matches played inside the Rutschman Field House.
