Brackets and the month of March just go together. Linfield College’s 18 residence halls will face off to determine which is “Top Hall” in a competition that kicks off this week. The residence halls, ranging from Pioneer Hall built in 1883 to Terrell and Elkinton Halls built in 2006, will vie for the top spot, based on voting. Current students, alumni, parents, faculty, along with anyone else, can participate in voting, which opens each day, beginning Monday, March 16, at 9 a.m. and closes at 11:59 p.m.
Each day’s parings will be announced through the college’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels. Linfield’s social media followers are encouraged to promote their favorite hall online, using the hashtag #ResHallRivaly.
Semifinalists will receive 50-inch flat screen televisions for their residence hall lounges. The champion, which will be announced Monday, March 30, will earn ultimate campus bragging rights and all residents will be invited to a pizza party on Monday, April 6.
