TECHNOLOGY TALK: Tony Salvador, senior principal engineer at Intel Corporation, will present “What to Think About” to kick off the 2016-17 PLACE program on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. The talk is sponsored by PLACE and Academic Affairs and is free and open to the public. ARTIST RECEPTION: A reception featuring two of the Portland2016 Biennial artists, Donald Morgan (Eugene) and Rebecca Peel (Portland), will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, from 1-5 p.m. with wine and light refreshments in the Linfield Gallery. The “Portland2016 Biennial of Contemporary Art,” a groundbreaking collaborative exhibition, is on display through Sept. 18 at the Linfield Gallery in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center. All exhibits are free and open to the public. FIESTA LATINA: Linfield College will host Fiesta Latina, a celebration of Hispanic culture, on Saturday, Sept. 17, at noon on the Intramural Field and in Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall at Linfield.
