SUNDAY, OCT. 2
CANDIDATE FORUM: Linfield College will host a nonpartisan candidate forum for Oregon House District 24 candidates Ken Moore and Ron Noble on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. in 201 Riley Hall. For more information, contact Dimitri Kelly at 503-883-2330 or dikelly@linfield.edu.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 5
ARTISTS’ RECEPTION: The art of Wendy Red Star and Kaj-anne Pepper will be featured in “Alterations” Oct. 5 through Nov. 19 in the Linfield Gallery in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center at Linfield College. An artists’ reception will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 5 p.m. in the gallery. WEDNESDAY, OCT. 12
FACULTY LECTURE:
Leonard Finkelman, assistant professor of philosophy, will present “What, If Anything, is a Tyrannosaurus Rex?” on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. in 201 Riley Hall at Linfield. The lecture is free and open to the public. The Linfield College faculty lecture series offers one presentation each month. For more information, call 503-883-2409.

ART SONG:

THURSDAY, OCT. 20
AUTHOR LECTURE:
Four Yamhill County authors will present a talk about self publishing, including distribution, marketing, publicity, promotion and social media on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nicholson Library at Linfield College. SATURDAY, OCT. 22
MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY: Linfield College will host Make a Difference Day, a day of service, on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 8 a.m. in the Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall. For more information, contact Deizhanna Kaya-Abad at dkayaab@linfield.edu.

SUNDAY, OCT. 23
CHORAL CONCERT: The Linfield Concert Choir, Wildcat Men’s Glee and Women’s Vocal Ensemble will present the fall choir concert on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall. SUNDAY, OCT. 30
PORTLAND BAROQUE ORCHESTRA:
The Portland Baroque Orchestra will perform Sunday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall at Linfield College. It is sponsored by the Linfield Lively Arts and Lacroute Arts Series. Tickets are $10 and available at the door. Linfield students with current ID and K-12 students are free.
