Lissa Wadewitz, associate professor of history at Linfield College, will make her television debut Sunday as a historical consultant on TLC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?”
The program follows well-known American celebrities as they discover unknown details about themselves and their families while researching their ancestry with the help of historians and genealogy experts.
As a follow-up to the TLC show, she was also featured on Talk Box: Finding Your Past Through Local Resources.
Wadewitz served as a historical consultant and explained historical documents and placed them in a larger context on a segment that features Tony Goldwyn, who stars on the television drama “Scandal.”
The show is scheduled to air on Sunday, April 5, at 10 p.m. (times may vary based on cable/satellite carrier).
Wadewitz has been on the faculty at Linfield College since 2006. Her areas of special interest are U.S. environmental history (and related topics), history of the U.S. West, Native American history and U.S. women’s history.
